How do you lose a Stainless Flatware Set?

In the past I’ve been ultra talented at losing things. Recently I lost a stainless flatware set. The bummer about it is that I lost a high quality stainless flatware set! How did this happen?

I had the stainless flatware set nicely packed in a flatware storage chest and as I was unpacking my car I managed to leave it on a wall outside of my mother’s apartment complex. 30 minutes later I realized it was gone! Did it get stolen? I don’t know what happened. I’m freaking out a little bit. I’m praying the sterling flatware set will be returned.
